The Secret of Education

The Secret of Education

Being a former Instructor at a University, I know full well the impact of this idea. Sometimes, the course curriculum (or teacher themselves) impedes or decreases the learning potential of the students which show by their disinterest on the topic or the teacher teaching themselves.

Be a Product of Your Products

We are in network marketing business, and the best marketing we can do for our prospects to be curious and check the products or services we are offering is to let them see us as a by-product or result of using the product. That way, it is easier to see whether our prospects need the offerings (and lower rejection ratio).

When people see the difference your products are doing for you and your family as well as your friends, it’s easier for them to decide whether they would want to partner with you or not in the products sharing and building of the business to achieve your dreams. Aside from being a product of your products, you would need to show to your prospects the financial relief or effect of doing the business so far in your network marketing efforts. This is not to suggest that you show them about your new car or house but by sharing your story to them and the options you can afford now. Perhaps the idea, that now, you have the option to work because you love to, not because you have to; that financial struggles have been lifted. But if you are just starting your business, share the hope and decision of achieving your dreams and goals.

Use your products and share your experience with it to your friends and relatives. That is your greatest task in the business. Be a product of your products.

The Importance of Follow Up

The act of following up the right way can be the greatest thing to do in building a network marketing business. When people say “no” to your business opportunity or products or services, know that perhaps, it is not “never.” It can mean, not now (or today) or the timing is not right. More often than not, we don’t contact people again after that initial ‘no’ that they told us.

Follow up people on their situation whether they might need your products or services and the opportunity. Follow them up because if not, and other people with the same opportunity comes in their lives (and they have need at that time), might choose them than you who planted the first information to them. Remember, it’s not always the one who first planted the idea that harvest from it; it is usually the one who continually checks the fruit whether they are ripe for harvest that gets the opportunity.

Follow up when:

  • There is new information you would want them to know.
  • You have achieved your first rank advance.
  • You got a new customer or business partner, who might be able to connect with your prospect better.
  • You achieve every three months in the business.
  • You still know that they are still alive.

Continue building the relationship you have with them because you still don’t know the extent of the vastness of their network. You might find someone in their network who will build your business big and eventually, have majority of your downlines building the business with. So, follow up without pressuring them to join the business but if you can, share to them samples of your best products. Once they are exposed to the products or services and the good it can do, they might decide to do the business as well.

Leadership Starts by Accepting Responsibility

For the previous months in events, I have been hearing the saying, “Events create leaders.” I have been thinking about it and what really creates leaders – whatever type of leader that is.

I have had the chance to lead organizations in the past years and I thought about the processes I went through to be a leader I am now. I have been to many events, trainings and seminars and one of the things I get is inspiration and internal motivation that leading is a responsibility and a privilege – a chance to make a difference in people’s lives (sometimes, without us realizing it).

Leadership expert John C. Maxwell shared that basically, leadership is influence. So if we have influence, we are in one way or another leading. I say, before we can lead effectively and efficiently, we must first believe that we are leaders because we influence people in varying degrees. Secondly, believe that we can lead to the best of our abilities with the resources we have. Thirdly, convince ourselves that when our leadership is greatly needed, we will rise up and lead – but even now, we must be learning to lead effectively and efficiently by getting leader-mentors. I believe that only leaders can develop leaders.

As for events creating leaders, it is not true. But I know that events showcase leaders. So, if you’re looking for leaders, either you develop them or find them. The challenge is: It takes a leader to know one. In any networking business, the only way to transition distributors to business leaders is when they accept responsibility of the growth or success of their business – whether to attend business events, call people for presentations, train people, purchase from their own business, etc. When your team accepts this responsibility or when they own the business, you are on your way to creating your long-term passive income. But remember, you lead and grow your leaders, and they will lead and grow their networks.

Books Capture People’s Knowledge

The Impact of Books

This is one of the reasons why I read books: to know and understand the mindset, culture and beliefs of the people I’m reading and what caused them to be successful, wealthy, affluent and influential.
