The act of following up the right way can be the greatest thing to do in building a network marketing business. When people say “no” to your business opportunity or products or services, know that perhaps, it is not “never.” It can mean, not now (or today) or the timing is not right. More often than not, we don’t contact people again after that initial ‘no’ that they told us.
Follow up people on their situation whether they might need your products or services and the opportunity. Follow them up because if not, and other people with the same opportunity comes in their lives (and they have need at that time), might choose them than you who planted the first information to them. Remember, it’s not always the one who first planted the idea that harvest from it; it is usually the one who continually checks the fruit whether they are ripe for harvest that gets the opportunity.
Follow up when:
- There is new information you would want them to know.
- You have achieved your first rank advance.
- You got a new customer or business partner, who might be able to connect with your prospect better.
- You achieve every three months in the business.
- You still know that they are still alive.
Continue building the relationship you have with them because you still don’t know the extent of the vastness of their network. You might find someone in their network who will build your business big and eventually, have majority of your downlines building the business with. So, follow up without pressuring them to join the business but if you can, share to them samples of your best products. Once they are exposed to the products or services and the good it can do, they might decide to do the business as well.
