“Two men looked out from prison bars,
One saw the mud, the other saw stars.”
― Dale Carnegie, How to Stop Worrying and Start Living
Sometimes, we look at other people and think that their values are the same as ours or that our skills are so easy for us, we tend to think that they can also do it. Well, what has been normal or too easy for us might be so hard to other people. So, take careful consideration of the things we share to people.
The above mentioned quote can have different meaning depending on how we want to understand it. For others, it can be all about perspective. Regardless, sometimes when we are in the same situation as other people, we tend to have a different response or attitude. Perhaps, that’s the result of our upbringing or exposures from different things that happened in our lives.
Nonetheless, we must always check the stars or gems behind every situation in our lives, and not the mud that people tend to throw at us or the difficulty of the situations. Seek the stars more than the mud.
